HATZILU MEANS RESCUE
"HATZILU" is the Hebrew word for "rescue" or save.
For more than 30 years, HATZILU has been maintaining the dignity of needy Jews.
HATZILU is there with timely assistance to people in distress. HATZILU provides the Jewish elderly and poor with food, financial aid, social work intervention and assistance, and emotional support.
HATZILU, a volunteer organization, is a network of people, many from synagogues, Men's Clubs, Sisterhoods, Youth Groups and other service organizations.
HATZILU, maintains the largest kosher food warehouse in Nassau County and volunteers deliver food to clients in Nassau County.
Throughout the years, HATZILU has faithfully continued to provide assistance to the elderly, the poor, and those who are facing a temporary financial setback. Due to the increase in unemployment, our caseload has increased dramatically. We now grant emergency assistance to many younger and single-parent Jewish households in dire straits due to divorce, abandonment, and illness.
HATZILU RESCUE is a 501c(3) not-for-profit organization. All donations to HATZILU RESCUE are tax deductible.
